Oracle Net Manager aracı yardımıyla veritabanları arasında bağlantı sağlayabiliriz.Örnek bir uygulama yapalım;Service Naming kısmında yer alan servislerden(database instance ismi) biri de ‘okay’ adında olan servistir.okay kullanıcısının bilgisayarından,ağda bulunan Orhan kullanıcısının ‘orcl’ adındaki database’ini de eklemeye çalışacağız ve böylelikle okay kullanıcısı kendi bilgisayarından Orhan kullanıcısının database’ine bağlantı sağlayarak orhanın verilerine erişebilecektir.(eğer orhanın şifresini de biliyorsa) Bu database bağlantı işlemini ilgili database'in tns adresini kendi tnsnames.ora dosyamıza girerek de yapabiliriz.
Standart olarak TCP/IP protokolü ile bağlantıyı gerçekleştiriyoruz.
Orhan kullanıcısının oracle database’inin global ismini yazıyoruz.
Test butonu ile bağlantının olup olmadığını test edebiliriz.
Son olarak görüldüğü gibi Address1 kısmında TCP/IP protokolü ile,host name’i ile ve 1521 standart port numarası ile Orhan kullanıcısının database’i ile bağlantı kurulmuş oldu.
Burada da okay kullanıcısının database kurulduktan sonra otomatik olarak Oracle Net Manager aracında var olan adres bilgileri görülmektedir.
